World forest day – 21 March

Naik motor Bandung – Jakarta

Walaupun banyak travel Bandung-Jakarta atau sebaliknya, beberapa waktu yang lalu saya mencoba naik motor (motor bebek) dari Bandung ke Jakarta. Berikut beberapa sharing dari saya :

1. Gunakan helm full face, rompi, sarung tangan dan kaos kaki
2. Bawa jas hujan dan tas
3. Bawa minuman dan snack
4. Rute yang saya lewati adalah Bandung – Cimahi – Padalarang – Cianjur – Puncak – Bogor – Depok – Jakarta
5. Banyak sekali pom bensin sepanjang jalan
6. Secara umum, petunjuk jalan cukup jelas sehingga peta tidak terlalu diperlukan
7. Kalau bisa jangan sendirian, minimal ada satu teman. Jadi kalau ada masalah bisa diajak diskusi

Pokoknya safety first aja, kalau ada truk, mobil, atau bus mendingan ngalah aja

Freebsd new kernel without make install

Steps to use new kernel in freebsd without “make install” :

cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf
cp GENERIC newkernel

Edit some configuration in NEWKERNEL

config newkernel
cd ../compile/newkernel
make cleandepend
make depend
make
cp kernel /boot/kernel/newkernel

Add this config to /boot/loader.conf

bootfile="newkernel"

When will the right time come to resign from the current occupation?

Making a decision to resign from the current occupation is one of the most difficult choice an employee ever takes. In this post, I state about resigning in the positive term. So, it is not when we got fired or we have some other awful things. But it is when we have a better bids from other companies or when we decide to open up a new startup business.
